TheBattalion.tv Firefighter Series - Fire, EMS, Rescue, Training

Meet PIO Mark Brady - Hose LIne Training with B.C. Wargo, HURST trainning, Apt. Fire

Station 17, roll-call. The young Probie, you've seen him in several early webisodes....arrives to his first real roll call. And as usual, just after roll-call... he's transferred to Station 10; we'll catch up with him later. So, we hang with Rescue 17's crew, EMS call to a muni-bus, next call, smoke at a restaurant. Night falls, a call comes in, it's a structure fire just down the street and who do we find at his first fire?

Across America, and around the world; there are cut-backs, brown-outs, and stations have closed. This story is about one of the many things that the Fresno Fire Department does RIGHT, and this is a big ones for us. Station 4, recently remodeled, has only had a Four-Man Crew manning the Tower-Truck, the USAR / Rescue rig, and they are also a part of Water Rescue Team for years.

Snowing at Sta. 15, we ride with Woody on Truck,

The Cortez Fire Protection District in Colorado is like most departments, all about training. In this webisode, you will see a young woman currently working as a volunteer firefighter as she attends a training class and late afternoon gets some time on the nozzle at a controlled burn that went out of control, pretty usual in Cortez. Both the Chief and the Assistant Chief have been working on grants to get not only new gear, but a new Station. This show features some training and the testing of a new portable pump from Waterax as they test drafting techniques on a lake just outside of town.

This is a big show with lot's of fires. The crew of Engine 3's "A" Shift start their day with some of the best tacos in town, a call comes for a fire; the arrive on-scene to a mattress fire possibly set by a homeless person; THEN, the call comes in for a structure fire. They arrive on scene, the fire is blowing out the windows. Eng. 3 is first in- Captain Palmer takes Command and his crew go into action. Garcia on the pump panel, Silva pulls the nozzle up the steps, safely puts on his PPE and with the other Garcia behind him, flames blowing over thier heads..

Harrisburg Bureau of Fire series continues with a two story structure fire. We arrive on scene with what the call, "Recall" since they only have 14 firefighters staffed, a structure fire brings out mutual aid with surrounding departments and Harrisburg firefighters off-duty are called in, we ride with Recall. In this possible Arson fire, a young boys favorite toy is burnt to a crisp and the firefighters find him a replacement, a real act of kindness.

Station 9, we meet the crew from Engine 9 with Captain Karey Wedemeyer on the "B" shift. The morning starts off with them getting new SCBAs, then, they catch a EMS run or two. Back at the Station, since it's the Captain's Birthday, everyone, including the cameraman, have to workout to one of Karey's workout DVD's, this should be fun. Late afternoon, a call comes in with a Cat stuck in a wall at an apartment complex, you'll find the the Captain is quite the animal lover, she actually works for a Pit Bull shelter in Fresno. 4:00AM, a call comes in, it's a structure fire.

Station 13, Water Rescue Teams Train at the pool, then the swift water of the river. A Desperate man bleeds our from ontop of a freeway CA99 road sign, the freeway shuts down and their's a standoff.

Station 9, Engine 9's "B" Shift. Captain Karey Wedemeyer and her crew run mostly EMS calls until the late afternoon,
